Born in Brooklyn and raised in Baltimore, her journey into the arts began at the age of four with classical ballet training. She honed her craft at the Baltimore School for the Arts, studying under esteemed mentors such as Sylvester Campbell, Norma Pera, Stephanie Powell, Debra Robinson Deckelbaum, and Hinton Battle. Her professional dance career includes principal roles with renowned companies like Ballet Frankfurt, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, The Deutsche Opera, Donald Byrd/The Group, Creative Outlet, Jubilation, and Complexions. Transitioning seamlessly to Broadway, Bahiyah has been part of original casts and notable productions, including “The Color Purple,” “Chicago” (as Velma Kelly), “After Midnight,” “On the Twentieth Century,” and “Moulin Rouge! The Musical.”

In 2019, she was honored with the Legacy Robe for her outstanding contributions to “Moulin Rouge! The Musical,” symbolizing her persistence and excellence in the performing arts. Bahiyah’s on-screen appearances extend to television series such as “Luke Cage,” where she portrayed a patrol cop, “Manifest”, “The Gilded Age”, and “For Life.” Beyond her performing career, Bahiyah is a wellness advocate and culinary enthusiast.

She is the founder of Bahiyah’s Bites, a venture inspired by her family’s tradition of cooking from scratch, emphasizing health, wellness, and the infusion of love into every meal. Bahiyah Hibah’s multifaceted career and dedication to her crafts continue to inspire and resonate across various artistic communities.
